Counted, not estimated

Inside the borders of Costa Rica, 548 stations and chargers are counted from OpenStreetMap: 439 fuel stations and 109 public charging points. Roughly 80% of what is mapped is fuel and 20% is EV charging. 29 of them are tagged open 24/7 (6% of fuel stations). It is a count of what mappers have recorded, dated below - not an official register, and in some countries the map is far behind the roads.

Counted from OpenStreetMap inside the national boundary · 3 October 2026. Refuelia maps no individual city in Costa Rica yet; the map itself covers the whole country.

Costa Rica is covered by Refuelia the same way as everywhere else: the map loads real fuel stations and EV chargers from OpenStreetMap for any area you search across Costa Rica, and lets any driver confirm a station in one tap, so a pin can say when it was last checked instead of only where it is.

Fuel in Costa Rica

Regular, mid, premium and diesel is the usual line-up. Pricing is per gallon in some countries here and per litre in others.

EV charging in Costa Rica

Expect CCS or NACS at a fast charger, and CHAdeMO on older hardware that has not been replaced.

Prices are added when reported by drivers or verified sources, always with a timestamp. Refuelia never shows invented numbers: where data isn't available yet, it says so. See Costa Rica on the map →
