Refuelia is a live, crowdsourced map of fuel availability, prices, queues and EV chargers — starting from an idea that already proved itself during real shortages, and scaling it to the rest of the world.
No app required. No account required. We will never ask for payment details or SMS codes — anyone who does isn't us.
Fuel shortages aren't rare anymore — supply shocks, price spikes and hours-long queues can hit almost any market, almost any year. When they do, official sources go quiet exactly when people need answers fastest.
EV drivers know a version of the same problem: the app says "available," you arrive, and it's broken, occupied, or the wrong connector.
Refuelia is built for that gap directly — drivers telling drivers the truth, in real time — for every fuel type, every EV standard, every country, plus prices and queues instead of a bare yes-or-no.
Working name history: FuelFinder, then "Where's the Gas" — Refuelia stuck once it stopped being just about fuel.
Petrol, diesel, LPG, CNG — matched across the naming systems every country uses.
Connector type, power, port count, live status, price per kWh — reported by people actually plugging in.
Line length, sale limits, real opening hours, payment methods — what matters during a shortage.
Local currency, timestamped, from drivers and — where available — direct station feeds.
Timestamp, source, confirmation count on every report. Fresh data shows bright; old data fades until re-checked.
Crowdsourced reports, open datasets (OpenStreetMap, Open Charge Map), and direct operator feeds where they exist.
Most map products don't do this. We weight reports by age, confirmations, and submitter track record — and show it visually, not buried in a tooltip.
Prove the loop works on a single home market before spreading thin.
The part that actually differentiates us from a single-purpose fuel map.
Advertising and business profiles switch on once there's real traffic to justify them.
Multiple revenue streams running at once, global open-data coverage as the floor everywhere.
"Anonymity, zero friction, and a healthy dose of paranoia about scammers." That's basically our whole trust model — people share more when nobody's asking for their name first. — from our internal strategy notes, July 2026
