Counted, not estimated

Inside the borders of Sri Lanka, 1,021 stations and chargers are counted from OpenStreetMap: 960 fuel stations and 61 public charging points. Roughly 94% of what is mapped is fuel and 6% is EV charging. 28 of them are tagged open 24/7 (3% of fuel stations). It is a count of what mappers have recorded, dated below - not an official register, and in some countries the map is far behind the roads.

The standard road diesel, and the cheaper of the two diesel grades.
Super Diesel

The prices from 1 October 2026

The Ceylon Petroleum Corporation (CPC) revised its prices at midnight on 30 September 2026. Per litre, Petrol 92 is now Rs. 414 (up Rs. 15), Petrol 95 Rs. 475 (unchanged), Auto Diesel Rs. 392 (up Rs. 10), Super Diesel Rs. 528 (up Rs. 50) and Kerosene Rs. 285 (unchanged). The sharpest rise is on Super Diesel, and the gap between the two diesels is now Rs. 136 a litre.

Lanka IOC, the other large fuel retailer, aligned its rates with the CPC’s revised prices, as local press reported it doing after the CPC’s revisions at the start of May and the end of May 2026.

A price that moves at midnight

The CPC says it reviews fuel prices from time to time in line with global crude oil movements and local economic conditions. In 2026 the press has reported revisions taking effect at midnight on 2 May, 31 May and 30 September. Each revision has been announced shortly before it took effect.

How Sri Lanka compares with the other countries whose governments publish pump prices: official fuel prices by country. Why a price is what it is: how fuel prices are set, and the tax gaps between neighbours in why fuel costs different across borders. The symbols on a nozzle are explained in what the labels on a fuel pump mean.

Sri Lanka is covered by Refuelia the same way as everywhere else: the map loads real fuel stations and EV chargers from OpenStreetMap for any area you search across Sri Lanka, and lets any driver confirm a station in one tap, so a pin can say when it was last checked instead of only where it is.

Fuel in Sri Lanka

Asia has the widest spread of any region. Petrol and diesel are near-universal, but CNG and LPG carry real traffic in several countries, so set the filter to the fuel your vehicle actually takes.

EV charging in Sri Lanka

DC charging here runs on CCS, with GB/T or CHAdeMO in some markets. Coverage thickens fastest around the major cities.

Prices are added when reported by drivers or verified sources, always with a timestamp. Refuelia never shows invented numbers: where data isn't available yet, it says so. See Sri Lanka on the map →

Find fuel and charging near you, in seconds

Finding fuel needs no account. Confirming that a station has fuel, or that a charger works, is one tap and stays anonymous. Posting a price, a comment or opening hours needs a free Google sign-in — that is what puts a real, named person behind the figure.
