BP appears on this map in eleven countries at last count, and in two forms: the fuel forecourts, and the bp pulse charging sites that increasingly share them. A driver looking for one is often standing next to the other.

Counted, not estimated

Across the 213 cities Refuelia counts, at least 372 forecourts are tagged BP in OpenStreetMap, in 14 countries. At least, because only the six commonest chains of each city are stored — a BP that is seventh in its city is not in this number.

Counted from OpenStreetMap · 19 August 2026. Refuelia has no relationship with BP and shows no prices it has not been given by an official feed. A brand tag is also not a promise the forecourt is open: where a driver has checked recently the map says when, and where nobody has, it says that instead of guessing.

Fuel and charging on the same forecourt

The map treats them as different things because they are. A charging point has connectors, a power figure and a question — is it working — that a petrol pump does not raise. Where a BP site has both, both appear, each with its own status and its own freshness.

What the count includes

Anything a mapper has tagged with the BP brand. It does not distinguish a full-service motorway site from a supermarket forecourt operating under the name, because OpenStreetMap frequently does not either. Where the tags do say more — opening hours, which grades, whether it takes fuel cards — the station card shows it.

Questions drivers actually ask

Is this BP’s official station finder?
No. Refuelia has no relationship with BP. The data is OpenStreetMap plus official government price feeds, and the map says so on every station.

Are bp pulse chargers included?
Where they are mapped, yes, as charging points rather than fuel stations. Whether one is free right now is not something any open dataset can answer, so the map does not claim to.
