Indian Oil runs the largest retail fuel network in India, where the forecourt is a petrol pump rather than a station and where CNG is increasingly on the same site as petrol and diesel.

Across the 213 cities Refuelia counts, at least 164 forecourts are tagged Indian Oil in OpenStreetMap, in 1 countries. At least, because only the six commonest chains of each city are stored — a Indian Oil that is seventh in its city is not in this number.

A brand tag is also not a promise the forecourt is open: where a driver has checked recently the map says when, and where nobody has, it says that instead of guessing.

CNG next to petrol is a real question

OpenStreetMap records which fuels a site sells, and Refuelia now shows the negatives too: where a mapper has recorded that a pump does NOT have CNG, the card says so rather than showing an unknown. A stated no is far more useful than a blank.

Prices in India are published, but not per station

Indian fuel prices are set daily and published by the oil marketing companies at city level, not per forecourt. Refuelia does not read that feed today and shows no Indian price at all rather than attaching a city figure to one specific pump.
