A brand tag is also not a promise the forecourt is open: where a driver has checked recently the map says when, and where nobody has, it says that instead of guessing.

The useful facts are per site, not per chain

Opening hours, whether diesel is available, whether the canopy clears a high vehicle, whether there is air and a toilet at three in the morning — none of these follow from the brand. They are recorded per forecourt in OpenStreetMap where a mapper has bothered, and shown per forecourt here.

When the map does not know, it says so

A grey pin on Refuelia is not a broken station. It means nobody has checked recently, and the map would rather admit that than paint it green and let you find out at the pump. That is the single design decision this whole site is built around.
