Across the 213 cities Refuelia counts, at least 20 forecourts are tagged Speedway in OpenStreetMap, in 1 countries. At least, because only the six commonest chains of each city are stored — a Speedway that is seventh in its city is not in this number.

A brand tag is also not a promise the forecourt is open: where a driver has checked recently the map says when, and where nobody has, it says that instead of guessing.

The forecourt is not only the pumps

OpenStreetMap records the shop and its type, toilets, air, a car wash, an ATM, wifi, showers and step-free access. Refuelia used to collapse all shops into one identical chip; it now shows what kind, because a convenience store and a supermarket are not the same stop at midnight.

Open now is computed, not assumed

Where a forecourt records its opening hours, the map works out whether it is open at this moment and, if not, when it opens. Where it records nothing, the map says nothing. There is no default set of hours applied to a brand.
