Real stations from OpenStreetMap with opening hours and driver reports where available, everywhere in Ireland.
Across the 3 cities Refuelia maps in Ireland, 617 stations and chargers are counted from OpenStreetMap. More charging points than fuel stations are mapped: 54% EV to 46% fuel. This is not a national total; it is what has actually been counted, and it says when.
Counted from OpenStreetMap · 1 October 2026 (11 days ago). Counted cities, largest first: Dublin (406), Cork (148), Galway (63).
Fuel prices rose sharply in spring 2026. In March the government cut excise by 15 cents a litre on petrol and 20 cents on diesel. After a week of protests in April, during which farmers and hauliers blocked roads and fuel depots and 600 of the country’s 1,500 filling stations ran out, it added a further 10 cents on both from midnight on 14 April to 31 July 2026: 27 cents off petrol and 32 cents off diesel in total, VAT included. It also put off the carbon tax increase due on 1 May until the Budget.
In September 2026 the government was considering extending the cuts into the spring. In the Commission’s bulletin for the week of 21 September, petrol averaged €1.945 a litre in Ireland and diesel €2.050, both below the EU averages of €2.092 and €2.226.
How Ireland compares with the other 26 EU countries, week by week: fuel prices in Europe this week. The symbols on the nozzles are explained in what the labels on a fuel pump mean, and the tax gaps between neighbours in why fuel costs different across borders.

Places our saved map of Ireland already holds, each with its own list of stations. What follows a city name is the kinds of place in the box around its centre — not a count, because the figure above this list is counted live for the whole country and the two would be measuring different things.

Looking costs nothing and needs no account. Any status a driver confirms carries the time it was made; where nobody has, the map says that instead of guessing, so you can decide for yourself how much to trust it.
